Margaret River Hockey Club

Background & History

Margaret River Hockey Club has made significant progress over the past nine years, improving our facilities and fostering a thriving hockey community. Established in 1936 the club has moved its training from grass to a turf in Margaret River. With approximately 170 members ranging in age from 5 to 71, our club welcomes players of all skill levels and continues to promote a passion for the sport.

We ended last season on quite a high, note with our Masters team, Year 6-8 boys team, Year 6-8 girls team, and our Women’s team all reaching the Grand Finals and securing the title of 2024 Season Premiers!

Training Nights

We are the only club in the association that does not train in Busselton. You can find us on Gloucester Park, Margaret River. The modern training turf facility constructed in 2022, conveniently located in the heart of Margaret River, within walking distance from the high school and our local primary schools, Training sessions are held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Team Details

We register the following teams in the BHA competitions:

Juniors: School Years 3-5 (mixed), 6-8 Girls, 6-8 Boys, 9-12 Girls, 2 x 9-12 Boys teams
Seniors: 1 Men’s & 1 Women’s team
Masters (35+): A (Mixed) team
Social hockey: Social (7-a-side) hockey played on Wednesday nights 6.30-7.30 @ Margaret River Turf
